A true nature lover, Shashikant is an avid birdwatcher with over 25 years of experience exploring the wild corners of Gujarat and India. He is also a passionate numismatist and philatelist, curating collections of rare coins, currency notes, and stamps that reflect India’s rich legacy. His adventurous spirit earned him a place in the Limca Book of Records (2009) for a solo bike ride from Ahmedabad to Leh-Ladakh, crossing the world’s highest motorable road Khardung La (18,380 ft). His early years were shaped by disciplined training in Scouts, NCC (Air Wing), Road Safety Patrol, and even horse riding at the Shahibaug Cantonment.
